DeVonta Smith wants to help Alabama win another national title.

The outgoing Alabama wide receiver has already been a big player in two national championships in football, and he wants to help Tide basketball coach Nate Oats win one on the hardwood, starting with Sunday's Sweet 16 game against UCLA. Smith tagged Oats in a game-day tweet with a photoshopped picture of himself in an Alabama basketball uniform, saying, "Put me in coach | @AlabamaMBB @nate_oats #RollTide."

Smith played high school basketball for Amite High School in Louisiana and was a Second Team All-State selection as a senior. Since then, he's caught a game-winning touchdown pass as a freshman in the 2018 National Championship Game, won the 2020 Heisman Trophy as a senior and is likely to be picked in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

But if the Tide basketball team needs someone, Smith said he's ready to go.
