Atlanta Falcons sign former Alabama football quarterback AJ McCarron

Former Alabama football quarterback AJ McCarron signed with the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced Friday.

McCarron will enter his eighth NFL season this year, his first with Atlanta. McCarron has played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans, having passed for 1,173 yards and six touchdowns in his NFL career.

McCarron played for Alabama from 2010-13, starting his final three seasons. He won two national championships with the Crimson Tide.
