Alabama softball pitcher Montana Fouts receives NFCA Pitcher of the Year award
Montana Fouts has added another accolade for her 2021 season.
The junior pitcher has won the 2021 NFCA Division I Pitcher of the Year, Alabama softball announced Friday. Members of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association vote for the award.
As Alabama's ace, Fouts finished 27-4 this past season with a 1.61 ERA. A week ago, she put together a perfect game on her 21st birthday in the Women's College World Series against No. 2 seed UCLA.
Her other accolades from this past season include SEC Co-Pitcher of the Year, SEC Tournament MVP and a unanimous first-team NFCA All-American.
