The Minnesota Twins selected Alabama signee Noah Miller 36th overall on the opening night of the 2021 MLB Draft pm Sunday.

The shortstop is a member of Alabama's 2021-22 signing class. But with him going as high as he did in the draft out of high school, it becomes less likely he makes it to Tuscaloosa.

Miller, 18, is considered the top prospect in Wisconsin by Perfect Game. From Ozaukee High School, he's the nation's No. 13 shortstop and No. 49 player overall.

His scouting report from Perfect Game: "Switch-hitter with big time offensive tools, fluidity to path from both sides with present bat speed. Very sound defensively. Soft hands with strong arm."

He's the younger brother of Owen Miller, an infielder in the Cleveland Indians' system. The elder Miller went in the third round.
