Alabama football defensive lineman DJ Dale will return in 2022, the junior announced on Twitter and Instagram on Friday.

"We didn't end the season the way we wanted to, and there is still work to be done," Dale said in his post. "With that being said, I will be returning for my senior year. We have unfinished business to take care of in 2022."

A four-star recruit in 2019, Dale chose Alabama over schools including Auburn and Clemson. He made 18 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks as a junior in 2021.

Dale joins Henry To'o To'o as Alabama players to announce their returns for their senior seasons. Jameson Williams, Evan Neal, and Slade Bolden have declared for the NFL Draft.
