Alabama gymnastics coach Dana Duckworth gave an injury update Monday on junior Makarri Doggette, who left Friday's the Power of Pink meet against Georgia. Doggette took a fall on floor exercise and landed awkwardly, unable to finish her routine. She had to be carried back to the locker room.

"At this point, we have more information that it's a small sprain," Duckworth said Monday. "She'll be able to do as much as the pain does. We're thankful that it's not worse."

Duckworth said the team will see how Doggette feels in practice this week heading into Friday's meet against LSU to determine if she will compete. Duckworth also said it's possible Doggette is limited to one routine instead of her usual all-around.

Alabama gymnastics travels to LSU on Friday. The meet will be at 8 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
