Alabama basketball freshman guard Jusaun Holt enters transfer portal

Jusaun Holt announced via Instagram on Wednesday his intentions of transferring from the Alabama basketball.

The 6-foot-6 freshman guard from Tacoma, Washington, played in 22 games during the 2021-22 season for the Crimson Tide. He averaged seven minutes per game.

"For me as a player, I learned a lot and improved in all aspects of my game, on and off the court," Holt said.

Holt averaged 0.7 points and 1.6 rebounds per game while shooting 20% from the field. 

Holt's top game of the season came against Vanderbilt in the SEC Conference Tournament, where he scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds and added a steal in the team's 82-76 loss. 

"I am forever grateful to have been a part of Bama nation and have no regret," Holt said.

Holt joins Alabama forwards Alex Tchikou and Keon Ambrose-Hylton and walk-on guard Jaden Quinerly in the transfer portal.
