There was dancing and hugging in the Alabama men's basketball locker room after defeating Maryland 96-77 on Monday in the second round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament. 

The win earned Alabama a spot in the Sweet 16 against UCLA on Sunday, March 28.

A video shared by Alabama basketball's Twitter account showed Alex Reese dancing then John Petty Jr. and Jaden Shackelford dancing together.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats came in and hugged several players including Petty, Shackelford, Herbert Jones and Joshua Primo

No. 2-seeded Alabama improved to 26-6 overall. No. 10 seed Maryland ended the season 17-14 overall.

After Monday, Maryland leads the all-time series 4-2 vs. Alabama. The teams last met in 2013.
