The Alabama and UCLA men's basketball teams competed in the 2021 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 on Sunday, March 28. 

UCLA defeated Alabama 88-78 in overtime. 

UCLA advanced to face Michigan in the Elite Eight on Tuesday. 

No. 2 seed Alabama ended its season 26-7 overall. No. 11-seeded UCLA improved to 21-9 overall.

After Sunday, UCLA leads the all-time series 4-2 vs. Alabama.

UCLA's Jules Bernard scored 17 points and six rebounds, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. also had 17 points to go with eight rebounds for UCLA.

John Petty Jr. led Alabama with 16 points and five rebounds in 42 minutes. Keon Ellis had 10 points and nine rebounds for Alabama.
