Update: Alabama forward Alex Reese leaves with injury vs. UCLA basketball in Sweet 16 game
Alabama men's basketball forward Alex Reese left with an injury early in the second half against UCLA during their NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 game on Sunday, March 28.
Reese came out of the game with 16:59 left in the second half. Reese had started the second half for Alabama.
TBS sideline reporter Jamie Erdahl said Reese sustained the injury to his hip/lower back.
Reese had zero points and three rebounds in 11 minutes before coming out of the game.
He returned to the game with 8:01 left in the second half.
Reese finished with three points and four rebounds in 13 minutes. He hit a 3-pointer near the end of regulation to force overtime.
UCLA beat Alabama 88-78 in overtime.
After Sunday, UCLA leads the all-time series 4-2 vs. Alabama.
