Jaylen Waddle criticizes Alabama basketball free throw shooting vs. UCLA in Sweet 16

Former Alabama football wide receiver Jaylen Waddle tweeted several times during the Alabama men's basketball game vs. UCLA in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 on Sunday, March 28.

UCLA defeated Alabama 88-78 in overtime.

Near the end of the game, Waddle criticized Alabama's free throw shooting. 

Waddle tweeted, "FREE THROWS KILLED US !!" He sent the tweet at 8:45 p.m. CT.

His preceding tweet was more celebratory. Waddle tweeted after Alex Reese hit a 3-pointer to force overtime, "BE A MAN REESE !!!!! THATS ALL I ASK." 

After the game, Waddle tweeted, "GREAT SEASON @AlabamaMBB !!!!!!!"

Earlier in the game, Waddle sent a pair of tweets complaining about the officiating. One said, "That’s a FOUL !!!!!!!!" and that was followed by one eight minutes later saying, "CHARGE!!!!!! Refs tripping"

No. 2 seed Alabama comes into the matchup 26-6 overall. On Monday, Alabama beat Maryland 96-77 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. 

No. 11-seeded UCLA enters the game 20-9 overall. UCLA beat Abilene Christian 67-47 in the NCAA Tournament second round on Monday.

Entering Sunday, UCLA leads the all-time series 3-2 vs. Alabama.
