Alabama men’s athletics finishes No. 2 in the 2020-21 Capital One Cup, women finish No. 12

Alabama athletics finished in the top 25 of the men’s and women’s Capital One Cup standings.

The men finished No. 2 with 82 points and the women finished No. 12 with 65 points in the competition which tallies the success of each program across all competitions.

The school was awarded $100,000 in scholarships for its finish in the men’s standings.

The season was highlighted by a National Championship in football and NCAA Tournament appearances by baseball, men’s and women’s basketball and softball, along with multiple National Championships in individual sports.

Stanford finished No. 1 in both men’s and women’s, the school’s ninth and 10th championships in the 10-year history of the award and second sweep.

Alabama joined Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas as the five other schools to place in the top 12 in both standings.
