Alabama men's basketball got a nice present hours before its season opener against Louisiana Tech.

Four-star guard Rylan Griffen from Richardson, Texas, announced Tuesday evening that he is committed to Alabama.

Griffen, 6-foot-5, 180 pounds, is the No. 62 recruit in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Richardson High prospect is the fourth recruit to pick the Crimson Tide in November and fifth overall.

Alabama's top commit is five-star forward Brandon Miller, the No. 10 recruit in the nation. Five-star guard Jaden Bradley was Alabama first commit. Assistant coach Bryan Hodgson is listed as Griffen's primary recruiter.

Alabama is ranked No. 13 in the USA TODAY Sports Ferris Mowers Preseason Coaches Poll and No. 14 in The Associated Press Preseason Top 25 Poll after falling in the Sweet 16 round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
