Alabama football has landed a highly touted quarterback from Louisiana — his name is not Arch Manning.

Four-star Eli Holstein announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Tuesday.

Holstein, the No. 54 recruit in the nation,  according to the 247Sports Composite, is Alabama's fourth commitment of the 2023 class and first QB.

Holstein, 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds from Zachary High, is the No. 8 quarterback in the country.

Manning, the nephew of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, scheduled an official visit to Alabama for the weekend of June 10.

Manning, the top-ranked prospect in the nation, is also considering Texas and Georgia.

Alabama will host unofficial and official visits and recruits on campus for its football camps in June and July.
