After posting a program-record 41 points Sunday against Auburn, Jasmine Walker was named the SEC Player of the Week.

It is the first SEC weekly honor for Walker and the first for the Crimson Tide this season.

Walker also became the first SEC player to have 40-plus points and 15 or more rebounds in a game since 2003.

She remains the only player in the SEC to rank in the top five in scoring (20.8) and rebounds (10.2) per game.

Hannah Barber finding success

Hannah Barber was thrust into the starting lineup early this season after an injury to junior guard De’Sha Benjamin.

Barber has struggled to find her shot on the perimeter after shooting 53.8 percent last season, but has set career highs in points, rebounds and assists.

The 5-foot-6 junior guard also recorded her first career block this season.

Against Auburn, Barber reset her career-high assist total with 11, falling one point short of her first double-double.

Barber also shot 3-of-6 from the 3-point line in that game, finding a rhythm and shooting with new-found confidence.

Know the Florida Gators

Florida has been led by its backcourt of sophomore Lavender Briggs and redshirt senior Kiara Smith

Briggs averaged 19.5 points before being ruled out for the season with a foot injury.

Smith is averaging 17.2 points and will take on a bigger role moving forward.

As a team, the Gators average 6.8 steals per game and force 14.6 turnovers.
