Alabama women's basketball star Jasmine Walker was drafted seventh overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA Draft on Thursday.

It did not take long for some of the biggest stars to welcome her to the city.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson became a part-owner of the Sparks in 2014 when he joined Sparks LA Sports, LLC.

The Los Angeles Rams were also happy to see Walker selected by the Sparks.

Along with many current and former Alabama athletes, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III also sent his congratulations via social media.

Both Walker and Ruggs are from the Montgomery area.
