Alabama basketball will look to score its second victory in the second game on the 2022-23 schedule when it faces Liberty on Friday at Coleman Coliseum.

The No. 19 Crimson Tide started strong with a 75-54 win over Longwood on Monday, which included 67 rebounds. The 3-point shooting could have been much better, though, as Alabama finished 3-for-28 from beyond the arc.

That will need to improve with the Flames (1-0) coming to town.

Limiting turnovers has been the emphasis in practice this week, Alabama players Noah Clowney and Charles Bediako said Thursday. The Crimson Tide (1-0) had 19 of them in the season opener.

"Taking care of the ball and communication on defense," Bediako said have been the focus. "There's always something to improve after every game. That's basically our main focus, taking care of the ball and communication on defense and executing our coverages."
