Mac Jones joins rapidly growing list of Alabama football QBs in the NFL: The full list

Alabama football is known as a talent factory, producing NFL ready players each season.

Alabama has a rich history of quarterback talent dating back to the 1950's and 60's when Hall of Famers Bart Starr and Ken Stabler played.

The Crimson Tide had 10 players selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, including quarterback Mac Jones.

After sliding down the board to No. 15, Jones was selected by the New England Patriots, who become the third team in the last two seasons to select a former Alabama quarterback in the draft.

Here is a complete list of Alabama quarterbacks in the NFL:

Mac Jones

Jones was selected No. 15 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

He joins former Auburn quarterbacks Cam Newton and Jared Stidham in the quarterback room.

15. Dolphins (12): Their trade of the No. 3 overall pick signaled commitment to Tua Tagovailoa while bolstering Miami's ability to continue building around the second-year passer. Free agent WR Will Fuller V should open up this offense.

Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa was selected No. 5 overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft and started nine games as a rookie.

Tagovailoa threw for 1,814 yards and 11 touchdowns with five interceptions, adding 109 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Eagles QBs Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts (2) both started games in 2020.

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts was selected No. 53 overall in the second round by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft after spending his senior season with the Oklahoma Sooners.

Hurts played in 15 games as a rookie and started four. He threw for 1,061 yards and six touchdowns with four interceptions, adding 354 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

After the Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts this offseason, Hurts became the favorite to be named the starter.

A proposed trade between the Browns and Bengals involving quarterback A.J. McCarron

A.J. McCarron

A.J. McCarron was selected No. 164 overall in the fifth round by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2014 NFL Draft.

McCarron was recently signed by the Atlanta Falcons to a one-year deal. He has served as a career backup, starting four games in seven seasons.

He has thrown for 1,173 yards and six touchdowns with three interceptions over his career.

Freddie Kitchens

Freddie Kitchens never played football in the NFL, but he has coached with four different teams.

Kitchens served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns for one year in 2019 before being let go.

He currently serves as senior offensive assistant with the New York Giants.

Mike Shula

Mike Shula was drafted in the 12th round of the 1987 NFL Draft and played one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before going into coaching.

He has worked as an assistant in the NFL for more than 30 years.

He is currently a quarterback coach for the Denver Broncos.
