Kickoff time announced for Alabama football game vs. Mississippi State

Alabama football will face Mississippi State at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 16, the SEC announced Monday. 

The game will be broadcast on ESPN. The matchup will be the Crimson Tide's third night game in four weeks. The week before this game, Alabama will face Texas A&M in College Station at 7 p.m. CT. 

The Bulldogs last defeated Alabama 17-12 in 2007 during Nick Saban's first season in Tuscaloosa. 

The most recent matchup between the two schools came in 2020 in Mike Leach's first season in Starkville. The Bulldogs traveled to Tuscaloosa and lost 41-0 on Halloween.
