Which Alabama football players won awards in 2021? Here's the full list

Alabama football is preparing for the College Football Playoff, and the 2021 awards are starting to roll in.

The winner of the Heisman Trophy will be broadcast at 7 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN. Here are some of the awards brought home by Alabama players ahead of then. 

Bryce Young wins Davey O’Brien award

Alabama’s quarterback wins the award for the nation’s best quarterback. 

Former Alabama quarterback Mac Jones won the award in 2020. 

Young wins Maxwell Award 

Young also received recognition Thursday as the winner of the Maxwell award, given to the best player in college football. 

Former Alabama receiver DeVonta Smith won the award in 2020.

Will Anderson Jr. wins Bronko Nagurski trophy 

Anderson won the award for the nation’s most outstanding defensive player on Monday. 

He leads the nation with 32.5 tackles for loss.

Four Walter Camp All-America honorees

Offensive tackle Evan Neal and linebacker Will Anderson Jr. each earned first-team spots on the Walter Camp All-America team. 

The Crimson Tide is one of five programs (Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and Pittsburgh also) to have two selections on the first team. 

On the second team are Young and receiver Jameson Williams. 

Alabama led all teams with four total selections. Ohio State had three. 

Alabama sweeps SEC and AP player of year awards

The media and the coaches came to the same consensus: Young and Anderson were each the best in the SEC on their respective sides of the ball. 

Young was named SEC offensive player of the year by the Associated Press and the league's coaches. Meanwhile, Anderson received recognition from both groups for SEC defensive player of the year. 

Also, four Crimson Tide players earned spots on the first-team All-SEC team in Young, Anderson, Williams and Jordan Battle.
