INDIANAPOLIS — Georgia coach Kirby Smart is hoping that the fifth time can be the charm.

Smart has faced his former boss, Nick Saban, four times and has lost all four. The latest was in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 4. Smart also lost to Saban in the College Football Playoff championship in 2018.

The Crimson Tide (13-1) and Bulldogs (13-1) will face off once again in the CFP championship, this time at 7 p.m. CT on Monday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Saban aims to earn his seventh national championship at Alabama and eighth as a head coach.
