Alabama football receiver Agiye Hall enters transfer portal

Alabama football receiver Agiye Hall entered the transfer portal late Thursday afternoon, a source with access to the portal confirmed to The Tuscaloosa News.
Nick Saban announced Wednesday that Hall was suspended from the team.
"He is suspended from the team for violations of some team rules, whether they're academic or whatever, it doesn't really matter," Saban said. "Everybody has a responsibility and an obligation to respect the principles and values and do what they need to do. They're all there to help them be more successful. To respect those and do those is always really helpful."
Hall was a four-star receiver coming out of Florida as part of the 2021 class. He was the No. 5 receiver in the class, per the 247Sports Composite.
Saban was asked Wednesday if Hall could earn his way back to the team after his name was removed from the online roster.
"He already had that opportunity once," Saban said. "I don't know what his plans are for the future."

Hall's short Crimson Tide career began with promise. About a year ago, he caught four passes for 72 yards in the A-Day game.
In the season, however, he didn't receive much playing time with 78 total snaps, according to Pro Football Focus' charting.
After the Mississippi State game, he sent out a tweet that said, 'Yea nah, calling it quits" that was later deleted. Then he wasn't seen in uniform before the Tennessee game.
"What we do with our players on our team is really kind of our business," Saban said when asked about Hall after the game. "We’re encouraging guys to do the right thing, whether it’s personally, academically. We have protocols when guys miss so many things, they don’t get to play in a game. That’s always been a rule around here. So I am not going to disclose, and I don’t think it’s anybody’s business when we’re trying to get players to do the right thing. We use playing time and opportunities in football to try to get them to do the right thing personally and academically. So that’s basically all I’ve got to say about that."
Hall had his best opportunity in the College Football Playoff Championship with 30 snaps after Jameson Williams had to leave the game with a knee injury. But Hall couldn't take advantage. According to PFF, he received seven targets but only caught two passes.
Alabama won't have its three starting receivers in 2021 as Williams, John Metchie III and Slade Bolden all move on and head to the NFL Draft. The Crimson Tide added Georgia transfer Jermaine Burton in the offseason and has players back such as Iron Bowl hero Ja'Corey Brooks, Traeshon Holden and JoJo Earle. Alabama also has added a few freshman like Aaron Anderson, who impressed Saban in the first scrimmage.
