What to know about the Sugar Bowl: Tickets, parking, Alabama football's bowl game opponent

Alabama football will face Kansas State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Dec. 31 in New Orleans.

It'll be the Crimson Tide's 17th appearance in the New Year's Six bowl game and their first appearance since the 2017 season. Alabama is 9-7 in those games. Alabama missed the College Football Playoff with TCU ranking at No. 3 and Ohio State at No. 4.

The Big 12 champion Kansas State is making it's first Sugar Bowl appearance against the Crimson Tide for the teams' first meeting. The TCU Horned Frogs suffered a 31-28 overtime loss to the Wildcats before making it into the CFP.

Who is playing in the Sugar Bowl?

The bowl's matchup will feature Alabama football vs. the Big 12 champion Kansas State Wildcats. The bowl game will be played at 11 a.m. on December 31. 

Where is the Sugar Bowl?

The game will be played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, home of the NFL's New Orleans Saints.

How can I watch the Sugar Bowl?

The game will be televised on ESPN. It will be the first of the bowl games on New Year's Eve to play their game.

What about tickets to the Sugar Bowl?

Fans can buy tickets to the Sugar Bowl via TicketMaster. Re-sale tickets start at $105 in the upper deck while lower-level face value tickets start at $175. Re-sale ticket prices are subject to change and very well might as the market adjusts to the announced matchup.

If I am driving to the game, what should I do about Sugar Bowl parking?

Fans can purchase parking through the Sugar Bowl, at the Superdome garages for $35 on a first come, first serve basis. Pre-paid tickets in the surrounding area are available via ParkWhiz.

What else should I know?

Caesar Superdome's clear bag policy is consistent with other NFL stadiums' bag policies. Clear bags sized 12'' by 6' by 12'' are allowed, as are small clutch bags/purses no larger than 4 1/2'' by 6 1/2''.
