The Alabama football team will hold its annual Golden Flake A-Day spring scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium on April 22, the school announced. The game serves as the last of 15 spring practices allowed by the NCAA. Per usual, the event is free to the public.

A kickoff time has yet to be announced.

This year's A-Day game figures to be highly anticipated as a quarterback battle between Jalen Milroe and Ty Simpson is at hand in the absence of Bryce Young, who declared early eligibility for the 2023 NFL Draft earlier this week. Milroe served as the No. 2 quarterback last season and spelled Young for one start, a narrow victory over Texas A&M.

A-Day will also give fans their first opportunity to see several early enrollees from UA's No. 1-ranked freshman class, including safety Caleb Downs, running back Justice Haynes, quarterback Eli Holstein and offensive tackle Wilkin Formby.

Last year, the White team, featuring the Crimson Tide's first-team defense and second-team offense, scored a 25-7 victory over the Crimson team.
