When Jerrion Ealy signed with Ole Miss in February 2019, it was for both football and baseball.
Ealy contributed immediately to the Ole Miss football and baseball teams.
His freshman season, Ealy earned 2019 All-SEC second-team honors as a return specialist. He played in all 12 games, rushing for 722 yards and six touchdowns on 104 carries with 20 receptions for 172 yards and one touchdown.
Before the 2020 Ole Miss baseball season got cut short by COVID-19, Ealy played in 13 games and started six times as a freshman. In 22 at-bats, he had a .321 on-base percentage to go with his .923 fielding percentage.

Jerrion Ealy shoulder injury led to missing 2021 Ole Miss baseball season
Jerrion Ealy underwent right shoulder surgery after the 2020 Ole Miss football season that caused him to miss the entire 2021 Ole Miss baseball season.
The right shoulder injury occurred during the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State on Nov. 28, according to 247Sports. The injury caused him to miss the Outback Bowl against Indiana on Jan. 2, 2021.
Ealy's shoulder surgery occurred Jan. 7, 2021. Later that morning, he tweeted, "Surgery went well this morning. Thank you for all the prayers!! God bless!!"
On July 24, 2021, Ealy said about his shoulder to 247Sports "It's a hundred percent now. I've been cleared by the team doctor, and I'm ready to return back to action."
Jerrion Ealy set an Ole Miss freshman record for all-purpose yards
Jerrion Ealy set the Ole Miss freshman record for all-purpose yards in a 40-29 win against Southeastern Louisiana on Sept. 14, 2019.
Ealy recorded 273 all-purpose yards with 6 receiving yards, 95 rushing yards and 172 kickoff return yards. He scored two touchdowns in the contest — via a 94-yard kickoff return and a 30-yard rush.
He was the first Ole Miss player with a kickoff return and rushing touchdown in a game since 1999.

Jerrion Ealy was selected in 2019 MLB Draft
The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Jerrion Ealy in the 31st round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Ealy was pick No. 932 overall. He chose not to sign with the Diamondbacks.
The No. 1 pick in the 2019 MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles was Oregon State catcher Adley Rutschman.
Grae Kessinger was the highest Ole Miss player taken in the 2019 MLB Draft. Kessinger, a shortstop, went No. 68 overall to the Houston Astros.
