Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin was the "celebrity" guest picker on ESPN's College GameDay at The Grove, and it was guaranteed to be good live television.

The Ole Miss coach picked Mississippi State to beat Auburn much to the chagrin of the Ole Miss fans watching the show in person. How Lane Kiffin is it to pick his team's chief in-state rival to win in front of his own team's fans?

“I would like to say this: Mike Leach is the best offensive coach in America," Kiffin said. "I’m taking Mississippi State.”

Kiffin smiled and looked at ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who called it a good move and noted that Ole Miss and Mississippi State play in a couple weeks.

"Analytics," Kiffin deadpanned.

Kiffin also picked Tennessee, where he coached for a season in 2009, to win over Georgia in what he called the upset of the day.

Don't worry, Ole Miss fans. He did pick the Rebels to beat Texas A&M later Saturday.
