Ole Miss football quarterback Luke Altmyer leaves game with 'upper body injury'

OXFORD − Ole Miss football quarterback Luke Altmyer left the Rebels game against Central Arkansas Saturday in the second quarter with an "upper body injury," per an Ole Miss athletics spokesperson.

Altmyer made his first career start and was 6-for-13 with 90 yards, two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in the first half. He favored his shoulder after taking a hit in the second quarter and was removed from the game just before halftime after throwing an interception.

No announcement has been made on the severity of Altmyer's injury. He is "being evaluated.
