Alabama softball outfielder KB Sides enters transfer portal

Alabama softball outfielder and Dora native KB Sides has entered the transfer portal, the Tuscaloosa News confirmed Wednesday.

The senior finished the season with a .314 batting average and 20 RBIs.

Sides was a three-year starter for the Crimson Tide and made the All-SEC defensive team in 2021 with a .955 fielding percentage.

She was a part of two Women's College World Series teams and had memorable moments this postseason with a two-run double in the SEC Tournament Championship game and a three-run triple in the super regional.

Alabama will have a new look in the outfield after the trio of Sides, Elissa Brown and Alexis Mack move on.

The Crimson Tide's current options include Kayla Davis, Jenna Johnson and Kat Grill.
