Tennessee (2-6) will play Vanderbilt (0-8) on Saturday (4 p.m. ET, SEC Network in Nashville in what projects as the last realistic opportunity for a win remaining for either team.

Vanderbilt's scheduled game Saturday against Georgia was postponed because of a lack of available players on the Commodores' roster due to COVID-19 and contact tracing/quarantine.

The Commodores are playing under interim coach Todd Fitch after Derek Mason was fired amid his seventh season following a 41-0 loss to Missouri on Nov. 28.

Freshman quarterback Ken Seals is one reason for the Commodores to be optimistic about the future. He's 164-of-249 passing (65.9%) for 1,689 yards with 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Keyon Henry-Brooks leads Vanderbilt with 438 rushing yards on 100 carries. Cam Johnson has a team-high 49 receptions for 481 yards and two touchdowns.

Vanderbilt's average of 14.5 points per game ranks last in the SEC, and so does its minus-nine turnover margin.

Linebacker Anfernee Orji leads the defense with 53 tackles, while defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo has 5½ sacks.

One subplot to the game will be whether Sarah Fuller gets an opportunity to kick an extra point or a field goal. A goalkeeper on Vanderbilt's soccer team, she joined the football team before the Missouri game with the Commodores facing a shortage of kickers. She became the first woman to play in an SEC game when she kicked off to begin the second half against Missouri.

Tennessee leads the all-time series 76-32-5. (Vanderbilt claims the series is 76-33-5.) The Vols won 28-10 last season, but the Commodores have won five of the last eight games in the series.
