Tayven Jackson, four-star quarterback, commits to Tennessee football, Josh Heupel
Four-star Tayven Jackson announced his commitment to Tennessee on Twitter.
The 6-foot-4 Jackson also had offers from Florida State, Texas A&M and UCLA among others. The Greenwood (Indiana) Center Grove junior is the No. 18 pro-style quarterback in the nation and the No. 326 prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
Jackson is the third commitment in the 2022 class. Three-star defensive end Venson Sneed and three-star linebacker Elijah Herring previously committed.
The Vols have five scholarship quarterbacks after Heupel's first spring at UT.
Harrison Bailey and Brian Maurer returned to UT after the 2020 season. Hendon Hooker transferred to Tennessee from Virginia Tech. Joe Milton committed to UT as a transfer from Michigan on Monday.
Freshman Kaidon Salter remains suspended due to an incident at Stokely Hall in March.
