College GameDay to broadcast from Ayres Hall before Tennessee football vs. Florida
College GameDay will broadcast from Ayres Hall before Tennessee football faces Florida.
ESPN announced the location Monday night after announcing Sunday it was bringing its flagship college football pregame show to Knoxville. The No. 12 Vols face the No. 22 Gators on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS).
The show will air Saturday on ESPN from 9 a.m. to noon ET. Rece Davis is the host and is joined by analysts Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, David Pollack and Pat McAfee.
A guest picker for the Vols-Gators game has yet to be announced.
Ayres Hall is located north of Neyland Stadium atop a hill between the stadium and Cumberland Drive.
It is the 10th time that College GameDay has come to Knoxville and the third straight time that the show will be in Knoxville for a UT-UF game. It is the sixth time of the 10 visits that coincided with a Vols-Gators game.
The last time College GameDay appeared in Knoxville was Sept. 24, 2016, when the Vols beat Florida 38-28. The show also broadcast from Ayres Hall in 2016.
Tennessee has a 2-5 record in SEC home games with College GameDay present. Its other win was a 30-27 victory against Georgia in 1995.
