Ravenwood four-star quarterback Chris Parson is no longer committed to his dream college football program.

Parson announced his decommitment from Florida State on Tuesday, nearly a year after he committed to the program. Parson is the No. 6 college football prospect in Tennessee for the Class of 2023 and No. 16 quarterback in the country according to the 247Sports Composite.

"Florida State has been My favorite school since I  was a little kid," Parson wrote on Twitter. "I spent a lot of time imagining myself wearing the uniform. But the reality of needing to be in the best place that suits me for my college career as led me to look elsewhere.

"I wish coach (Mike) Norvell and the Seminoles the best going forward, but I am decommitting from Florida State and reopening my recruitment!"

He recently competed in the Elite 11 Finals in California, finishing in the top 11.
