There were several top performers in Tuscaloosa area girls high school sports, but only one can be voted athlete of the week.

Fantasia Wilson, Northridge basketball: Scored 22 points with six assists and four steals in a 61-59 win over Homewood.

Blakeley Nixon, Hillcrest basketball: Scored 22 points in a 65-60 loss to Vestavia Hills.

Kaitlyn Gipson, Paul Bryant basketball: Scored 12 points with 12 assists and six rebounds in a 59-29 win over Demopolis.

Ella Wheeler, Sulligent basketball: Scored 20 points with four 3-pointers, five rebounds, five steals and four assists in a 60-20 win over Caledonia.

Kylera Warren, Central basketball: Scored eight points with 11 rebounds in a 50-17 win over Greensboro.

Ashianna McNealy, Demopolis basketball: Scored 11 points in a 59-29 loss to Paul Bryant.
