Tennessee Titans' Kevin Byard returns fumble for an early TD against Jaguars, but should it have stood?

A Tennessee Titans defense that had a week to stew on a poor performance made an instant impact on Sunday.

Only a minute into the game, Elijah Molden forced a fumble of Jaguars tight end Dan Arnold on the third play of the game, and Kevin Byard recovered the ball and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown.

The CBS announcing crew of Tom McCarthy, Tiki Barber and officiating guru Gene Steratore disagreed with the play standing as called as a fumble, with Steratore stating that he thought there wasn't enough time for Arnold to make a clear football move to allow it to stand as a catch.

That being said, Arnold took three steps and turned up field before Molden's hit jarred the ball loose.

Fumble or no fumble, the Titans defense made an early splash with a big play.
