AUBURN – The Alabama women’s golf team fired a 4-under par second round on Monday to move into fourth place in the Evans Derby Experience at the par-72, 6,280-yard Auburn University Club.

The Crimson Tide (288-284/572) is now 4-under par for the tournament and just two shots out of third place heading into Tuesday’s final round. Arkansas (280-279/559) tops the leaderboard at 17-under par with Duke (285-279/564) five shots back at 12-under par. Florida State (278-292/570) is in third at 6-under par, followed by the Tide in fourth place and host Auburn (285-290/575) in fifth at 1-under par.

Individually, freshman Angelica Moresco (72-70/142) equaled her season-low round with a 2-under par 70 on Tuesday to move into a tie for 14th place at 2-under par overall, alongside junior Lauren Stephenson (69-73/142) and two other golfers.

Sophomore Kristen Gillman (74-69/143) is tied for 18th, one shot back of Stephenson and Moresco at 1-under par. Junior Cheyenne Knight (73-72/145) is tied for 27th at 1-over par while senior Lakareber Abe (74-74/148) is tied for 40th at 4-over par. Senior Nicole Morales (76-76/152) is playing as an individual this week and is in 53rd at 8-over par.

The final round of the 54-hole tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT on Tuesday. Alabama will be paired with Arkansas, Duke and Florida State in round three.
