CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Kenzie Wright finished second on Sunday at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the UNC Finley Golf Course.

Alabama turned in an 11-under par 853 (283-280-290) performance to finish just one stroke behind tournament champion Michigan State (286-277-289/852).

All five Alabama players finished in the top 50 individually, compiling 183 pars over the weekend at the par-70, 6,048-yard Finley Golf Course.

Wright began the day tied for eighth. She recorded a team-best 40 pars on the week to complement 12 birdies. Second-highest scorer Angelica Moresco registered her fifth-career top-20 finish with a tie for 13th place. Moresco (69-69-76/214) carded two rounds under par during the tournament. Polly Mack finished tied for 27th overall (71-71-75/217). Emilie Øverås (76-71-74) and Caroline Curtis (73-75-73) tied for 46th, both finishing at 5-over par 221. It was the highest finish for Øverås in her career.

Alabama will travel to Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 25-27 for the Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall.
