AUBURN – Alabama swimming and diving posted six more top-five finishes on the final day of the Auburn Invitational, including four runner-up finishes.
Brown took a second-place finish in the men’s 200 butterfly, posting a 1:47.96 in the finals after a career-best 1:47.50 in prelims.
A day after winning the 100 backstroke, Peel took second in the women’s 200 backstroke with a 1:57.63.
Carlson was second in the women’s 200 butterfly after a time of 2:05.24.
Graham (50.44) and junior Lydia Jackson (50.56) both turned in career-best times to finish second and third, respectively, in the women’s 100 freestyle.
Sophomore John Shelstad, who was second in the men’s 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley earlier in the meet, took fourth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:00.52.
Sophomore Cole Brown (200 butterfly), junior Meg Peel (200 backstroke), freshman Sydney Carlson (200 butterfly) and sophomore Emily Graham (100 freestyle) all posted up runner-up finishes.
The Crimson Tide will return to Auburn for the SEC Championships Feb. 18-22.
